Our Days Are Numbered

On Tuesday nights my stick of choice is a 32 inch, 36 ounce, smooth, round, metal club with extra tacky grip.
On Wednesday mornings my stick of choice is 7.5 inch, 5 ounce, glossy, yellow, lacquered, cedar instrument with a pink eraser and a graphite center.   A No. 2 pencil.  The ubiquitous Dixon Ticonderoga No. 2 pencil.
Pencil is put to paper to summarize the outcome of the game in a concise, whimsical, breezy manner.
Similar to People magazine, the Cougar blog is a combination of human interest and celebrity stories (Well, we think we are famous).  Also like People magazine, the blog entries take as long to read as an average trip to the bathroom.
Last night we lost 7-4 against league leaders, Miller Time.
So there you have it.
The blog begins with a No. 2 and ends with a number 2.
You can flush this one down the toilet.

At the postgame we all relived our first inning rally, Boom's unbelievable over the shoulder catch in center field, Martini's astonishing ability to take an extra base every at bat as well as Flandog and Diamond Dave's clutch hits and RBIs.
We also celebrated a great night with our families and friends on a thick steamy summer night.  Thanks to Li'l Rads for supplying all the snacks and beverages that we consumed and quaffed.
We are still undefeated in postgames!
