The People in Your Neighborhood

Oh, who are the people in your neighborhood?

In your neighborhood?

In your neighborhood?

Say, who are the people in your neighborhood?

The people that you meet each day.

Tuesday night, leafy and cobblestoned Elmwood Avenue turned into a fun-filled Sesame Street episode as the Brennan family hosted a spectacular postgame.  All the characters from the Tappers, Shackers, and Cougars were in the neighborhood.

The Cougars and Tappers were Grouchy with their losses and Chicken Shack were the Big Birds with a victory.

Like Elmo, can you guess what Captain Cougar is still thinking about today?  That’s right – thinking about how we lost our game.

Cookie Monster would eat dessert before the main course, so let's start out with the postgame highlights.

Game Recap
________________

With the tough loss, we could have easily called this blog, It's Not Easy Being Green.

First Inning

Rads and Martini singled but were stranded on the bases.

Pitches scored two with a few hits and a couple plays where we bungled the ball like Mr. Noodle.

Second Inning

Cougars go down 1-2-3.

Pitches with a couple hits but no runs.

Third Inning

The Cougars score a run with hits by Tiny Rads, Rads, Martini and JD.

Pitches go down 1-2-3.

Fourth Inning

Flandog and Nick Jr. with hits but no runs.

Rough inning for the Cougars as Pitches score five.  Like most Muppets, sometimes we play defense like we only have eight fingers.

Fifth Inning

The Cougars battle back with singles by Rads, Martini and a double by JD for two RBIs.

Pitches goes down 1-2-3.

Sixth Inning

We plated a run with hits by Pastor Ted, Nick Jr., Strong Coffey and Diamond Dave.

For the third time in the game the Cougars shut Pitches down 1-2-3 just like Sesame Street's address.

Seventh Inning

Our offense pulled a Mr. Snuffleupagus and disappeared.  No runs for the Cougars and we go down 7-4.

For our doubleheader next week, the Cougars will don capes and turn into Supergrover.
