First Inning

Clyde May's knocked in four in the top of the first.  Our fingers failed us.

Fort singled and made it home with a single and heads up baserunning by Martini.

4-1

Second Inning

We held them to two in the second.  Our hands were not handy.

We had consecutive hits by JD, Li'l Rads, Bobi, Flandog, Jimmy, DD, Boom and Rads for five runs.

Them 6  Us 6

Third Inning

Two more for them.

None for us.

Losing 8-6

Fourth inning

Six for them.

None for us. Again.

Down 14-6

Fifth Inning

Two for them.  It could have been more but we turned a triple play!  With men on first and second, the batter hit a line shot to Rads in centerfield.  Captain Cougar then fired it to the cutoff, Flandog, who whipped it to JD at first to double off the first base runner.  The runner on second base tried to tiptoe home during the action and JD gunned it to the plate and Jimmy quickly and calmly tagged the runner for our first ever triple play!

One run for us with only Jimmy getting a hit.  Three consecutive outs put him across the plate.

Jimmy was the only Cougar with multiple hits and made a second play at the plate during the game.  He was the MVP of the game but I told him that he already had one blog all about him so this time he would get his own paragraph!

17-7

Sixth Inning

Six more for them.  Brutal.

It would have been a 1-2-3 inning for us but Joker ripped a double down the left field line.

23-7  Ballgame over.

Menny tymes wee booted da bahl.

Evn wit da lawse, eet waz a booty full night.
